Signing ceremony of the partnership agreement with WFP for the Food Assistance towards the Central African Republic

On 10th September, 2024, Mr. AOKI Shun, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Japan in the Central African Republic (CAR), signed a partnership agreement with WFP CAR Country Director Mr. Housainou Taal for the Food Assistance Grant Project for CAR, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Central African Republic to Cameroon, H.E. Mrs. Marcelle Gotchanga.
This project, providing food assistance worth 200 million yen (1.4 million USD) in the form of school meal, is expected to reach 42,000 school-aged children. It will contribute to improvement of food security of children as well as school retention and access to basic education.
