Visas

1. Obtaining Visa 
  1. The Embassy is open from Monday to Friday as follows : Deposit of application files from 8:30am to 11:30pm :
      Pick up of files from 8:30am to 12:00pm and from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.

  2. Originals and photocopies of documents need to be presented.
  3. Depending on the applications and travel reasons, complementary documents may be requested in addition to        the required documents.
  4. Verification of documents can take for two weeks; therefore, please deposit your documents well ahead of
      time.

  5. We do not accept urgent applications except in special cases such as health evacuations and humanitarian
      reasons.

  6. Passports cannot be withdrawn while the files are still under examination.
  7. Verify that your file is complete before depositing. Lack of required documents may be rejected.

2.Required documents

  1. Application form duly filled and signed by the applicant
  2. A recent 4x4 size photograph in color with a white background
  3. Current passport valid for at least three (03) months
  4. Original birth certificate
  5. A photocopy of the residence’s permit for citizens of countries other than Cameroon, Chad and Central African
      Republic

  6. An extract from criminal record or police record less than three (03) months
  7. An invitation letter from the partner in Japan accompanied by :
     - The tax file of his company (for business visas)
     - The photocopy of the resident card (for visit to acquaintances)
  8. A guarantee letter of stay and accommodation
  9. Hotel booking (business and tourism visa)
10. A return flight reservation
11. Evidence of social status (job, profession etc.)
    - For businessmen : certificate of no fee, trade register, taxpayer card, import license, certificate of location
    - For employees : a work certificate, the last three salary slips, leave authorization or assignment letter
12. Details of the bank statements for the last three (03) months and an account certificate
    For official trips:
     - A mission order, a note verbal, a flight reservation, the invitation if possible.
 
  N.B: Additional documents could be asked during the file review process. The presentation of all the required
          documents is not a guarantee of an automatic visa delivery.


3.Fee
    SINGLE ENTRY VISA : 12 000 FCFA
    MULTIPLE ENTRY VISA: 24 000 FCFA
    TRANSIT VISA: 3 000 FCFA
 
   Visa fees are not required to be paid at the time of visa application, they are only paid
   when the visa is issued.
