Signing ceremony of the Exchange of Note with WFP for the Food Assistance towards the Republic of Cameroon and the Republic of Central African Republic

On 7 August, 2025, H.E. Mr. MINAMI Kentaro, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Cameroon and to the Republic of Central African Republic signed the Exchange of Note for the Food Assistance Grant Project (FY2025) for Cameroon and CAR.
This project, providing food assistance worth 200 million yen (1.4 million USD) to respective country via WFP, will target vulnerable people, including refugees and internally displaced persons affected by natural disaster, contributing to the improvement of food security. This cooperation will materialise Japan's efforts to respond to the food crisis and support sustainable agricultural production, as announced at the 8th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD8).
