The Hand Over Ceremony for the “The project to build a water tower and improvement of school environment for the CEBEC school in Babouantou Tonko, Western Region” was held in Babouantou.

On March 7, 2023, the handover ceremony for the "Project for the construction of a water tower and development of the school environment of the CEBEC school of Babouantou Tonko, Western Region" financed by the Embassy of Japan, was held in Babouantou, at the EEC (Evangelical Church of Cameroon) school.
About 200 people were present, including Mr. IKEDA Kiyohiko, Counsellor at the Japanese Embassy; Mr. KOMO Isaïe, Regional Delegate of the Ministry of Basic Education in the West; Mrs. ENJOH TEMBU, Divisional Officer of Banja; His Majesty KALEUK, Superior Chief of Babouantou; Mr. TCHANDEU Laurent, President of the beneficiary Association; students and teachers of the beneficiary school, and the population.

With funding from the Japanese Embassy 440-meter fence surrounding the school, a water tower for the benefit of students and local populations were built and 50 table-benches were provided as part of this project.
