Equipment donation ceremony to the Cameroon Badminton Federation

Wednesday October 29, 2025, marked a beautiful moment of friendship and cooperation between Japan and Cameroon, as the Ambassador of Japan to Cameroon H.E. Mr. MINAMI Kentaro, presented sports equipment donated by the Japanese Badminton Association to Ms. Odette Engoulou, President of the Cameroonian Badminton Federation.
The ceremony held in Yaounde, was presided over by the president of the National Olympic Committee (NOC); Col. Hamad Kalkaba Malboum, alongside senior officials of the Cameroon Badminton Federation.
In his address, the NOC President commended Japan for its continuous support to sports development in Cameroon and contribution to the construction of elementary schools across Cameroon that has enabled the education of many young Cameroonians who have become leaders in the nation.
The Ambassador MINAMI equally expressed his delight at the growing partnership and hopes to see badminton thrive in Cameroon.
